Babbu Maan is concentrating more on acting rather than singing

Famous Punjabi singer as well as actor Tejinder Singh Maan, alias Babbu Maan, says that the music industry in the state is likely to witness the worst days and therefore, he is concentrating more on acting rather than singing. During the shooting of his upcoming movie, he talked about Punjabi music and the film industry.

I don’t have money

The shooting of the opening sequence of his film was done in the parking of Rose Garden, Chandigarh. Like all his movies, Babbu himself is the producer of his forthcoming movie. When enquired about the story of the movie, whose title has not been finalized so far, Babbu said that it is based on the story of those boys who come to Chandigarh and how urban people see them. Only two-three days are left in the completion of the shooting. He said that it is better to have short schedule. “Make movies in short time and make money,” he added.

When asked about the promotion of the movie, he said that he does not have money for publicity stunt. “Those who want to watch will turn up themselves to see.

I keep on writing

Babbu himself has written the script of the movie. Before this also, he has kept on writing his songs. He is widely known for his distinctive lyrics and music. But these days, he is not focusing much on music. According to him, writing and singing songs have become fun. Talking about the current scenario of the market, he said that pirated CDs of all newly launched albums come in the market. “What is the advantage of making huge investment when there is no profit?”

I never went to saloon for haircut

People get to new hair styles whenever Babbu appears before the media. He said that he get his hair cut from a local barber. “I never go to big parlors and invest thousands of rupees on haircut because I get it done locally on an expenditure of Rs 50-100,” he said.

Babbu lives at his native place Khantmanpur (Fatehgarh Sahib) in his free times. He informed that he has set up a studio and a gim there. He along with his entire team works there.
